The school board just confirmed that wrestling will return to our program. I am honestly stunned by this result and I know this happened only because you chose to care about these students. We will be watching to make sure the transition goes smoothly.

I have been overwhelmed by the messages from parents sharing stories about how much this program means to their kids. It honestly never crossed my mind that so many people felt this same frustration but your willingness to speak up is what keeps this moving forward.

La Porte already has middle school wrestlers representing our city on the National Wrestling Team - Team Texas!! It's time to get a wrestling program added to the high school!
High school wrestling is a growing sport in the Houston area and University of Houston has already added wrestling to their athletics program. Let's get onboard now LP - it is just a matter of time before our neighboring districts do!
Please please please bring wrestling to our area my son just made Team Texas among a huge list of wins since he started wrestling. He goes to Lomax currently and he will not be able to wrestle with his current team. So his next step is high school wrestling. Help get this started asap for the young people who are already in wrestling and the others who will line up to participate in thus awesome sport!
Every school should have a wrestling program.... Especially one that already has a quality youth program that would feed into it.
Such a great sporting opportunity for La Porte. We came from Ky where wrestling is huge and the kids have been in a local club for 3 years now
EVERY school should have a wrestling program!

I would love for wrestling to be part of the LaPorte school district so that my son has other sporting options available and also to help him improve his conditioning for football.
