It would only make sense to keep it open all year !
Even to have public skating as an addition to attract additional tourism. When it’s hot outside take the crew skating to cool off !

Leaving the ice in the summer opens up the door for so many programs that don't get offered here or we have to travel outside of the area for (adult learn to skate, power skating, summer figure skate to name only a few). We would also use it for birthday parties and family get togethers!

Hockey camps and individuals are going elsewhere for their ice all summer and would prefer to use ice closer to home. Let’s take advantage of the opportunity and keep money in our community
