Worthington BZA Must Reject Variance Request for 410 Tucker Drive

We are against a second large structure on one property!

Reject this monstrosity!

The essential character of the Medick Estates neighborhood has already been substantially and negatively altered with the trees being cut down on the 410 Tucker property. Further substantial detriment to the character of the Medick Estates neighborhood and adjacent Highgate Avenue will be incurred should this variance be approved. I strongly believe that this precedent setting variance request SHOULD NOT be approved.

Many of my best childhood memories are of days spent playing at the Goodwin's home and property, catching frogs and exploring the creek. I am heartbroken to see this devastation. Although I no longer live in Worthington, I support these efforts to stop this kind of development.

It is sad that the owners removed all the wonderful trees on this property and have ignored the zoning restrictions.

This structure doesn't fit the character of the neighborhood and if passed the precedent sent will damage not only the character but the value of this neighborhood.

Allowing this variance would represent a mockery of the zoning concept itself.

I grew up on Medick Way and graduated in 1978. This is a beautiful, classic, old Worthington neighborhood that has graced our community. Shame on these New Owners for their selfishness in the scaring of this land and neighborhood.

Please don't cut more trees down in Worthington. Each one is precious and makes our city a special place.

The cutting of those beautiful and mature trees is already a horror. I hope they will not add insult to injury.

Chopping down more than 40 healthy mature trees has irreparably harmed the area. I ask that the BZA reject the variance request. Thank you.

I live on highgate and grew up on Tucker. I truly believe that what makes these two streets are the esthetic beauty of unique homes and properties. If someone wants to build a large sprawling estate, there are other places in Columbus that would fit that vision. People move to worthington for its established neighborhoods and landscape.

I agree with the petition fundamentally and completely. Don't open the floodgates by granting this variance.

What they have already done to that piece of property (cutting down all the trees) is a travesty. Clearly, they appear to have no concerns for the neighbors or the neighborhood.
