Sign this petition to stop employers from discriminating against employees for having tattoos

Updates

March 2, 2016

I am hearing from so many of you about how outdated hiring policies cost you jobs despite your qualifications. Reach out to your local representatives today and demand they push for fair employment standards that focus on performance rather than ink.

March 2, 2016

The momentum we have generated proves that workers are tired of outdated rules controlling their appearance. Email your local representative today to tell them that professional value is not defined by ink. Post this link on Facebook and include a sentence about why your personal expression belongs in the workplace.

IT IS JUST SKIN. Who cares if someone has a sleeve? Ridiculous that people still get judged for this in professional settings.

Tattoos are self expression and should not be the only thing you see when you look at someone...just like race and religion, etc. Discrimination is just wrong.

Signed, but South Carolina is an at-will state, which means that employees may be terminated for any reason, a good reason, a bad reason, or no reason.

They are just ones way to express themselves without words. Shouldnt get put down for this quality. Good idea!

Art! People it's art, not on the walls but as a beautiful expression of self! Tattoos tell stories of who people are, maybe if you asked they would be the kind of people you wanted to hire and have work for you company.
