Worcester has some great sporting facilities but it is let down massively when it comes to swimming. I will not use Sansome Walk pool because it's sooo depressing! Worcester needs a new swimming facility ASAP

Swimming facilities in Worcester do not cater for the vast majority. This is the problem we have here. The Worcester population is diverse, and sport and recreational facilities should reflect this. Swimming pools around the country are closing regularly, and being replaced by fun pools. I've attended such a pool in Germany. It was packed. Parents with their children enjoyed the facility together. This is great for family life and relationship bonding. Children enjoying precious time in a family environment is seldom seen in Worcester. The last thing we need is a competition pool that caters for just a few.

This is the one and only opportunity in the next 30 to 40 years to provide a city the size of Worcester (which is set to grow considerably over the next decade or so) with the right sized 8 lane pool and not some half measure which will be to the detriment of all of Worcester's current and future residents and tax payers.

This pool is great to attend for a local open meet in September/October. Where would we go if this pool is no longer useable for local clubs ?
