Woodmere Avenue width restriction

Insufficient and useless made restriction that damages cars more than limits speed. Either remove or make it more car friendly because after all those who created it probably dont use it.

These are far to dangerous and too many people get stuck here

Its about time this was taken away from the road, total waste of time as too many cars drive through the middle anyway. How do I know? Because I use this junction up to 6 times a day.

The most stupid and impractical idea, some of us have big cars that don’t fit though the gap. I pay road tax to be able to us them safely and without damaging my property!!!

Needs to be a bit bigger

These bollards should never have been approved. They have damaged thousands of cars mainly being driven by very careful drivers - the bollards are obviously too close together. I'm not sure how the council have got away with this without being sued for every damaged car. Please remove these bollards without delay.

This width restriction is ridiculous and has to removed. Apart from the damage to vehicles it also causes a lot of unnecessary traffic jam during peak times

Should have been taken away years ago,it’s a nightmare so many people damage there cars including me and my granddaughter

i have witnessed these damaging so many cars where people are going through really slowly, and also seen so many people going through the bus lane to avoid them. They are causing more problems and hazards for all.

I used the barrier once in Feb 2012 and having recently treated myself to my first new car, I decided never again and I've never used it since and never will. It's the most ridiculously contrived design and it's far more daunting driving a car through the sides than it must be driving a bus or lorry through the middle. Surely the idea should be to discourage HGVs not motorists! Aligning some larger cars and vans having turned left out of Douglas Avenue in time to negotiate the barrier in some vehicles must be virtually impossible. In our retirement my wife and I walk frequently and very often our walks take us by the barrier and there have been occasions when it's been like a circus down there with cars and vans jammed with much resultant collateral damage to vehicles. Anybody in doubt should inspect all the bits of cars strewn all around the barrier vicinity.

I refuse to go through this width restriction as it is too dangerous. I know people who have had their cars wrecked going through here

Appalling design. Ugly, unnerving and simply not needed in this technological age where smarter solutions could be employed.

Ridiculous system needs to be updated. Seen so many accidents. Bollards irrelevant and should be removed

Why do we have to put up with these ridiculouse width restrictions, when so many vehicles have been damaged, and stressed out so many drivers.Get rid of now!!

This has been a problem for way too long something needs to be done ASAP! My Nan is 82 and after her car got scraped by the width restriction she won’t go down my road anymore she goes the long way round because it has cost her money... and shook her up because someone was behind her and almost crashed into her when she got stuck in the width restriction. It’s affected so many ppl and now ppl are going through the middle part which is busses but they rather get a 60.00 fine then cause damage to there car which has caused such bad damage costing hundreds of pounds! Either make it wider or get rid of it we have bumps to stop speeding and a lot of them too which is enough! Small cars like my nans are getting smashed in daily this needs to

Too many people overtake here or bypass the width restriction with unsuitable vehicles. People with wide vehicles or who can't drive should not use this.

Width restriction should not have metal poles, as dangerous to vehicles going through it, I avoid as much as I can it's very dangerous to get through.
