Also got caught using that restriction. Can't understand why it needs to be so abrasive. No other width restriction looks like that. Cost over £700 for damage to my car. Complained to country council not interested.

This needs attention ASAP. I damaged my car on this unrealistic extra small width restriction. A standard one would be just as a effective.

I have seen numerous cars damaged, large cars and vans have to go through the bus lane in order to ensure their vehicles are unscathed. It is the worst and most ineffective traffic calming measure, there are sleeping policeman all the way down the road anyway so hardly a speed hazard!!

These are dangerous width restrictions.Over the years they have caused accidents and unnecessary damage to the cars and other vehicles and their passengers.

I think there’s some ‘narrow mindedness’ with this issue, if you excuse the pun. Please review traffic control measures for the whole of Woodmere Avenue, the degraded speed bumps and the low compliance with the 20mph posted speed limit. It’s evident that the intention of the width-restriction was to deter people from using the road and, from the comments, it seems this is working but in the most unfortunate and costly of ways.
