I am adamently opposed to rezoning

No need for this rezoning, the single, largest, established neighborhood in the area strongly opposes rezoning the area, therefore there is absolutely no need for it.

This rezoning will be detrimental to our neighborhood. The City is not honoring its pledge to protect neighborhoods.

I don't want any businesses near our homes. There is no need for rezoning, there are a lot of neighborhood services on Jackson Avenue.

I strongly oppose rezoning this property. High traffic and late night businesses will be a hazard for the many families with small children. It would be disruptive to a quiet, established neighborhood and there is no justification for the rezoning.

The noise, odors, light intrusion, increased traffic, the potential increase in crime, and the potential for land use changes to move further into our neighborhood are all good reasons to decline the rezoning request. It is unnecessary and unwanted.

I strongly oppose the rezoning of this property. Woodlawn is a family neighborhood with many small children. The potential impact on the environment and the increase of traffic would pose significant danger to our children. Please do not rezone this property.

The nature of businesses possible under the NB guidelines (and what I understand to be a planned gas station/convenience store on the site in question) would be disruptive to the Woodlawn neighborhood and rezoning is not justifiable.

Do not rezone this property. Leave it as it presently zoned.

Today, Thursday, August 4, 2006, I sent an email to all members of the Oxford Planning Commission. In that email I explain that the proposed rezoning request is not proper under existing Mississippi law. Therefore, the change must be denied.

The future extension of West Oxford Loop to Hwy 314 will create enough traffic headaches. We do not need any businesses near our homes.

I see no need for rezoning, and it would potentially have a negative effect on the neighborhood.

By the time the city opens Oxford Loop to the Sardis traffic in addition to taking down the light at Anderson and Jackson and routing Ole miss traffic to Anderson we are not going to get out of or into Woodlawn.

We moved to this neighborhood because it is quiet and safe for families with small children. This rezoning will negatively impact our quality of life and our home value. Please deny the rezoning request.

There are plenty of neighborhood services available on West Jackson Avenue.

Nothing has changed in this area to warrant rezoning. We do not need a gas station located there since there is one a 1/4 of the mile up West Oxford Loop.
