My sister lives in this neighborhood. We visit often. Our children love playing with their cousins & the MANY children in the neighborhood. We were shocked at the speed limit allowed through a residential neighborhood with so many houses & children. It is not a main thoroughfare where you would expect a higher speed limit. Most people would agree in areas like this a lower speed limit would be a better choice to avoid tragedy.

35 is definitely too fast for this neighborhood with all the kids and people walking. Unfortunately because the signs are there people (including myself) tend to get going pretty quick without thinking. I've consciously started to limit myself to 25-30 through the neighborhood

Thanks for sharing this petition. We’ve reached out to the township several times over the last year and a half about this exact same issue. I’m glad there is a lot of support for this change. It’s long overdue.

FYI, when we moved in 35 years ago, the speed limit was 25 mph. A few years later, the township took it upon themselves to put 35 mph sighs up.

Long over due. The township needs to do the study and just get it done.
