As a member of the LGBTQ+ community in Woodinville, I support this. This shouldn't replace meaningful action toward LGBTQ+ justice, however! This is an expression of solidarity, which is important, but is alone not enough. Please also listen to youth who want school resource officers taken out of their schools.

I’m queer, but I’m totally against this rainbow crosswalk! All this is doing is dividing this community and country and most of you know that this to be true. Most of my gay friends hate all this rainbow flag nonsense because of the hatred and division that it’s causing. Sorry, we don’t need to shove this in everyone’s faces and demand that they celebrate our lifestyle. Why should ANYONES sexual preference be celebrated anyway? Has the country gotten any better since this whole Pride campaign heayed up over the past few years? Obviously not! Let people live their lives no matter who they are and we’ll all be much better off in the end.

This would show support for lgbtqia+ people at a time when there is increasing public hatred.

Please add the rainbow crosswalk. It would be lovely, and would also demonstrate a true commitment to celebrating diversity and inclusivity.
