To our board - my honor role, ‘A’ students are struggling...and not a small struggle. Even with loads of support, the daily struggle is heart wrenching. Mental health, socialization are all in critical red zones. We are showing our kids that extracurriculars are more important than in class instruction. These kids need you all NOW, not in 4-6 weeks.

There’s too many distractions at home, the value of learning is not the same. Our children deserve to go back like many other districts have.

Send our kids back to school! I would rather risk my child getting COVID with a high chance of survival than to watch and witness the frustration, tears, depression and diminishing love of learning!

The current situation is not working for our son. While I understand that going back face-to-face is not going to work for all families, we truly believe that is what we need for our son to be successful. We are signing this petition in hopes of providing options to families including a face-to-face option as well as keeping the Our Path option for those families that choose to stay at home. I would suggest keeping the high school students at home as they need to how to navigate this for college. I would also suggest using the high school buildings as additional space for the elementary schools to space them out better. I do not want this to become a dumping ground for the teachers, they are already stretched way too thin and need more support. I do not believe that expecting them to manage online as well as in person instruction is going to be beneficial to anyone. We need to make sure that whatever decision is made supports our teachers.
