Winfield Township Volunteer Fire Department
The Community needs to understand that unless the District acts in the citizens' interests, there may be a different fire department or no fire department to respond to emergency calls within the Township.
The Department would like to continue to provide the much-needed protection services to the community; however, the District is standing in the way of that continued service.
The Winfield Township Volunteer Fire Department has been responding to fire calls for over 30 years in the Township and would like to continue to do so. We are asking for your assistance.
The Winfield Township Volunteer Fire Department has been here for over 30 years. Some of our Firemen are generations that have stayed and continue to serve our community. Fathers, Uncles, Sons, Current and Future Firefighters. They want to stay.
WE NEED OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT, WITHOUT IT OUR COMMUNITY IS SHORT HANDED IN EVERYTHING!! ALSO OTHER FIRE DEPARTMENTS WILL BE STRETCHED TO THIN TO HELP. OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT HELPS OTHERS AND OTHERS HELP US.

I have been spending my time meeting with folks in town to discuss the future of our station. It is truly humbling to see how many of you care about our long history here because none of this would be possible without your attention.

I am signing this because I think they should stay open due to other departments will take longer to response time. If stayed open then you might be able to get to emergencies quicker than surrounding areas.
I’ve been around long enough to remember all the hard work it took to get the fire department started. I would hate to see that legacy fail

This fire department needs to remain operational in order to continue to help the people in the community when they need help. Shutting down this company is a very poor decision for all involved!
