Our grandchildren have all enjoyed hours of fun on this park.It is such a shame that our latest arrival will not be able to do the same.

As a local resident I have used this lovely little park so many times with my children when they were younger. This is so sad

How about replacing all the play equipment recently taken down - including Marple Recreation Ground. It really isn't fair to take away play equipment with no plans to replace.

I have seen lots of children using the park during the time I have been visiting the church next door . It will cost the council a lot more in the long run when the young people are at a loose end with nowhere to go and nothing to do,

Windlehurst Park has been there for many many years and should have new equipment put back in. Money or lack of it is not a good enough excuse and it is shameful that the council has dealt with this so stealthily and under hand. d.

I used to play on this park when I was little and only took my kids there a few months ago. Open spaces for children to play should be one of the top priorities of local authorities. Especially as the government advise is to make sure our children get exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. I am so upset by this it just cannot happen!

Don't take away what children need. These children need to play out doors.

I played here, sat on the wall waiting for the bus in my teenage years and played in the park after Sunday School. I see no good reason why this shoukd not be so for thousands more children in future generations. we need children to be outdoors excercising more often. How does this help. Dreadful decision.

I played on this park nearly everyday growing up, with a tarmac surface, i'm still alive, ridiculous nanny state! People complain that kids of today spend too much time on computers etc. so lets take away their parks, that will solve the problem??

This is a beautiful little park and I strongly believe it should be renovated and maintained for the community, not left derelict. Councillors, it is a dereliction of your duty to the community you represent to allow this to happen.
