I've loved Will Richards and his studio since 1995! He and his art, his studio and the beautiful forest around it are a National Treasure! Save it at all costs! ❤️

I came upon Will Richard’s studio one day on vacation with a girl friend. He picked us up in his golf cart and and took us to his studio. I was fascinated and he became a good friend. Over the years we continued to work on the studio and connected on many levels. Now we are long estranged, but I often check his website to see how things are going. His is a special place and i hope he will always continue in his endeavor to provide the public with his art, his skill, and his beliefs. Judy

Will Richards art studio gives tourists a chance to meet locals of Catalina Island. I live in landlocked Missouri and I always check out his studio. It is one of the most fun things to do on the island. It also gives one a chance to be at the old Ostrich House that was part of the bird park. Will is very welcoming to anyone that wants to visit his studio/home. This is part of the real Catalina. His sculptures are amazing!

Will turned a clay bust my father made into a beautiful bronze bust. The mold is still in the gallery. Will does amazing art work. He is a wonderful creator of beautiful pieces. When the SCI allowed the tear down of the old Sunset Apartments on the waterfront I went to Avalon to get the triangular peak with the sunset design. It now hangs on the wall of my bedroom. I am 82 years and with my family we spent almost every summer in the Sunset Apartments since I was born. That building meant a whole lot to me as I am sure it did to so many. Will Richards gallery can be saved if we all join in and demand that it be saved. I am David.

We have enjoyed visiting Will's studio on many occasions, as it has been a "must see" stop for island newbees. The few occasions Will was there to chat and guide, us were so special as he was always incredibly gracious and kind. Will's an authentic creative who has built a cool space to match all his most intuitive and intriguing musings. As the island is slowly being stripped of it's "local" character, I'm really hoping something can be done to save this iconic property in some way. The museum should help with that...make it into a partnership, or sister/art studio....something!

I first met Will in 1977 (give or take a year or so). He is a beloved part of the Island. He probably won't remember me but he was friends with my brother-in-law, Sam Hernandez (who lived his whole life on the Island). When Sam passed Will lovingly carved a seal in his honor. His studio should remain at least for his lifetime. If the studio must someday be removed, then most if not all of it should be relocated as a people's museum to celebrate the spirit of the local people.

This should be a historical landmark And be protected. Shame on the people and Landlords taking away a mans passion and love for his home.

Simply unfair, SCICO used to refer to Bird Park, and its history, and then to the beautiful Will Richards Workshop and Studio.

It is a work of art and a piece of Avalon history. Little by little we are getting rid of the art and style that has endeared this island to so many generations in family after family to make it a high end tourist appealing gentrified version of what it was. I am pretty there are generations of people cringing from above, below, or on this earth. I understand change as it has always been a part of Avalon but why lose all of the history and character to make it look like every other resort town does instead of focusing on its heritage and appeal as the quaint town style that also has all Of these amenities
