Surely we can meet the needs of the 0.01% who are transgender without taking away the rights of the 99.99% who are not.

This policy proposal needs to be stopped. Transgender is still a mental disorder in the most current psychology book.

It appears to me that the board has over stepped it authority. And places students in a precarious situation as well as the parents. The WCS board needs to with draw their 8011 proposal.

I oppose this policy and the secretive nature that the school board has used regarding it. My two high school children and one high school stepson oppose this policy as well.

This issue is not the school districts responsibility it's the parents.

The lack of transparency and the lack of consideration for parents and students is unacceptable!

Hard to believe this would even cross someone's mind thinking it was a good idea. This is a terrible idea and now created a mess.

I do not support the transgender bathrooms and neither do my two children that are students in the high school. If this is past good chance my children will be removed from this school.

I oppose the school board policy because of its lack of transparency and communication to Williamston parents. A policy that will have negative impact to all students and community.

I do not have any trust in the integrity of this school board and their agenda for our children and schools. I feel that the board members need recalled or need to resign and a new board put in place to represent the community.

What about the rights & security of the 90% of the students who don't feel comfortable with the opposite sex in their restroom? I am surprised that the board does not have more important issues to deal with. How times have changed!

I have followed this issue since 2016. As a parent & former teacher, I am greatly concerned about the idea that individual school officials will be in a position to withhold vital information about a child's psychological well-being. The liability should any child be harmed is unlimited, but the chance that it could occur is unacceptable.

My husband and I have three daughters, two of them are currently enrolled in Williamston schools, the third will be entering kindergarten next year. We have homeschooled in the past and are fully prepared to do so again if this unconstitutional proposal is passed. We are unwilling to teach our girls to deny the truth of anatomical gender while putting their right to privacy and safety aside. No child in our district should be made to feel or be unsafe. Passing this measure is not the solution to ensuring student safety. Thank you for your time and service.

The feelings and views of the majority have not been taken into account. You can't do something for the .0001% at the expense of the rest. Make one bathroom (with a single stall) unisex.
