This is a terrible decision that I am praying will not pass. It flies in the face of all that is Biblical. Our kids DO NOT need that pressure.

I see the administration is still believing they are Legislature claiming their way is the only legal way. Just like when graduation gowns HAD to be one color to meet law. Which was false. Giving choice of the two school colors to every student would have met wishes of many in Williamston; was Ok'd by gown providing company; and met the law; just not administrations approval. It is known that much of draft is not for sake of following law.

Yes there are transgender kids in williamston that go by the sex they want to be and they identify as but up till now school has always tought kids that boys and girls use diffenet bathrooms and locker rooms bc they have different parts yes in discivery and explore kids most likely wont pretend to be a girl or boy so they can see a girl or a boy using the bathroom or changing in the locker room but who says that they wont have kids who arent transgender use the other bathroom/locker room of the gender they are not it happen in middle school but more then likely in high school alot of boys are gonna be like oh i feel like being a girl today i want to use the girls bathroom or the girls locker room or a girl pretending to be a guy so she can see a guy useing the bathroom or chaning in the locker roo. and might cuase sexual harssment and school has always tought kids that sexual harssment is not ok but now WILLIAMSTON wants to put girls and boys in more danger of sexual harsment by not having a gender spacific bathrooms/locker rooms for boys and gender spacific bathrooms/locker rooms for girls transgender kids have alwaysd use the bathroom of the gender they were born as in willamston till now if you alow this then your putting more like girls then guys in risck of getting sexually harsed or at the worst rapped and basicly telling them its ok

students shouldn't be allowed to change bathrooms based off their mood. however there should be a unisex one where trans kids can use and feel safe

We do not support specialized policy which the board is enacting for political expediency. The language is vague and usurps the role of the parents. This is an attack on the traditional family and please don't tell me there isn't a better way. A way that would unite our community but it would mean the application of leadership qualities and character that is apparently lacking. Instead, each leader is pointing fingers at the other as being responsible.

As a former student of Williamson High School class of 1988, I am disturbed, disgusted, infuriated and shocked that my small town high school has bowed down to big city politics with an issue that completely over the line, and in violation of every other students privacy and rights.
You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. If this student cannot figure out what is in their pants, have them use the nurses bathroom or the staff bathroom. To force this child's sexual confusion on the general population of normal students in the school is WRONG.
