We disapprove of the William's Rider and the redistribution of funds to crisis pregnancy centers. These programs are proven ineffective and redundant to already created programs that actually provide preventative services. Thousands of women have not received health-care services as a result of the rider. It is not justifiable to fund counseling services instead of pap smears when there are already established counseling providers. For many women this funding provided the only medical screenings they would receive in a year. Not only does it affect women, but also their children and families. This is not about abortion; this is about women's health! Please take a stand for women's health-care issues!
