I was a former student of Mr. Davis and he was a man that I had spent a great amount of time learning from his wisdom. Not just as a student but as a young man. He was there to listen as well as to guide me on all of my passions and always gave me the resources to make sure I could reach them. I still have videos that I made in his video production class and I go back and look and laugh at those moments when he was genuinely himself.

RIP we appreciate all the hard work he has done but I think it’s a little to extreme to change a school name because of somebody that enjoy doing they’re job , if other teachers God forbit will pass away , every time that happens will change school name , I don’t think so , I’m sorry but that’s to much , who ever started this is not think , there are so many great teachers will you do the same for all of them ????

I worked for SAISD for a total of 32 years—4 years as a teacher assistant and 28 years as s teacher and retired at the end of the 2017-18 school. We, as a district, need to honor Mr. Davis in this way to show the community of SAISD that there are heroes among the educators who are guiding their children to be achievers, to share with others both near and far and to help make a difference in our world. Mr. Davis was one of these exemplary educators and will be greatly missed!!
