William Davis was my seventh and eighth grade teacher at Rhodes and I can’t think of a teacher more deserving of this than him.

I had Mr. Davis my 8th grade year, his class was fun and exciting to be in. His class was never boring and he was always involved with the students. I work for SAISD and I wanted to see if he still taught at Rhodes so I asked around and he was still there. So the teachers convocation is coming up and I wanted to go see him. I had planned what I was going to say and I had no doubt he would remember me because I look the same! Then I saw my facebook and saw a post of his death, I could'nt believe it so, I google his name and I was speechless, heart broken. I will remember his smile, his laughter, his hat, his kind and soft heart! He will always have a place in my heart. You will be greatly missed... RIP

Can't believe he's really gone, but this is a way for him to stay with us forever if we name the building after him. I believe he would be grateful of this.

This man served our youth, whom many may see as undesirables. God bless him and his family.

This guy... One of the few teachers I remember well, Mr. Davis was always beaming with positivity. Corny jokes, a tame temper, and a goofy sensibility made it truly fun to learn from and work alongside this man. Dedicating the building would be a great honor and the perfect way to cement his legacy at Rhodes.
