Dear residents of West Oxford,
We are hoping to stop the destruction of an established wildlife corridor. Planning permission is currently being sort to build a 3 storey block of private student flats on the land to the East of Mill Street (adjacent to the railway line). There are c70 established trees, and several protected species known to inhabit this land - eg hedgehogs, shrews and newts. Badgers and bats have also been spotted.

The developers are pushing ahead with their plans but we are coordinating our testimony for the upcoming council session. Email your councillor today to insist that these badgers and bats stay protected. Send this link to three friends who live in West Oxford so they know what is at stake.

The amount of support we have gathered proves that this neighborhood will not stand by while our wildlife corridor is destroyed. Email Councillor Pressel right now to demand she blocks this development. Post this link to your Facebook page and text the petition to three residents who care about our local habitat.

mill street is already crowded enough. keep the wildlife corridor intact.
Ridiculous idea. Those badgers lived there long before students arrived. Stop building on every bit of green space we have left.
We have enough student flats already. Leave the trees alone!
PLEASE DONT RUIN THIS LAND. We need nature in the city not just more concrete housing blocks.
Three stories? Right next to the tracks? This is just greedy property developing at the expense of our local nature.

Really concerned about the newts and hedgehogs. Why cant they build elsewhere???
