As a former general manager of the wildcats 1979-2003, I find it hard to believe that the people responsible for the demolition of the speedway arena, were allowed to demolish everything without the necessary planning permission, especially when the 'Change of use' planning application, was refused.

weymouth is one of our fave holiday locations, always visited the speedway going back to the 70s ,weymouth needs speedway

Speedway is good for the local people of Weymouth, and holiday makers alike. It's a meeting place for local people to enjoy the sport they love.

This is one BIG JOKE NOW! Speedway is needed in Weymouth, Plus Weymouth need it is Speedway. It is about time Weymouth have got their speedway back. I do wish that the Wessex Stadium was NEVER turn into a Football club. Wessex Stadium was a speedway stadium in the first place. Just hope one day, that speedway can go back to Wessex Stadium and fingers cross they can buy the stadium back and turn it back to it normal speedway stadium. Plus kick out the football.
