We use this pavement to go to school daily with two children I agree it would be much safer for all predestination if made wider.

The pavement is quite narrow and I am always fearful when I my daughter is on the scooter or bike and there are other pedestrians.

Doing the school run with 2 young kids has been a nightmare along that stretch. I am unable to walk and hold both my kids hands along that stretch because one child would end up teetering into the road. I teach my children to walk in the inside of the pavement keeping well away from the road, but it is Impossible to follow this practice at that juncture. In order to cross safely I sometimes have to stand in the road, like a lollipop lady,as a way of preventing the cars from moving on because there has been a queue to get on to the pavement and the lights have turned green. Its a bottle neck for parents and their children along with buggies, scooters etc. In fact not only where the crossing is, but the other side of the road near the path that leads into Tesco is also pretty narrow and it is tricky to walk with two kids when the bushes are left overgrown and the thorny bushes stretch out across the pavement.

This dangerous but busy walkway must be widened and made safe as a matter of urgency. This is children's safety.

Clearly the road is dangerous and not fit for purpose. The council has a duty of care to ensure that pedestrians and road users are safe.

I walk along this road with my child, making it wider would really help with safety, for pedestrians and drivers.

Take a couple of metres from Tesco car park. Also need to stop pavement parking on the stretch to sacred heart school.

If you want a wider pavement do not make the road any narrower. 2 cars can get through a the moment which is vital due to level crossing gates being down for so long .
