Widen the narrow pavement on Burlington Road, New Malden

It is important for our kids and others kids safety. I

This is very much needed as it is dangerous for children and all pedestrians.

Make it safe for children

Very dangerous road , also cars still entering from road into Tesco

Some of us have to walk on the road to get to tesco.

Please make the pavement bigger.

Super dangerous and a highly used area by pedestrians.

The path way is very narrow and of course in busy times when children walk to school or returning back home is very dangerous as the road is busy all day long. It would be great to make it wider.

This crossing is highly dangerous at busy times e.g. school run - it's often difficult to get off the road and onto the pavement due to congestion.

Safety for the children and parents are priority as traffic on this road is a hazard

It really is something that has to be done ASAP before it's too late. The bushes next to the pavement are completely unnecessary. We could extend the pavement from there.

Great idea!

Bravo to Anna Cave who has taken the time to highlight this treacherous pavement which is clearly an accident waiting to happen. The spotlight is now on the Council to quickly widen this pavement and ensure no children or pedestrians get hurt.

This is something of great importance. Pedestrians and drivers alike are increasingly frustrated by the lack of space to enable the crossing to be used as intended- safely. By widening the pavement and utilising the disused and often messy land to side of it can only be a positive.

This should be a safe road to go to school x
