My boat is about 9ft wide and only 28ft long, why do I have to pay more for less? A narrow boat can go more places than a wider boat so why should we pay more, it's just unfair.

Already paying over price for old dirty toilets and showers most are locked up in a state of disrepair no dredging of canals and rivers or cutting back of trees most wide beamers damage boats just getting through Nottingham canal how can they even consider charging another 20%

As our boat is basically a sea going vessel with very limited river usage, basically the Trent and Humber ( where the facilities have been run down to nothing Gunthorpe lock for example ) for us to access coastal waters.
The price increase is unjust as basically we're paying for an access route to sea & parking on the river at our moorings????
Very unfair price increase!!!

I am not against paying to use the rivers. But as I keep my 29 ft cruser on the river Trent ware many facility are being removed . So I am paying for facility that are not available.

When I purchased a widebeam I knew that there were only certain canals I could navigate on because of my size but I didn't realise that a lot of the K&A is unmoorable for me because of the other side of the canal being so overgrown an limiting to widebeams. As a responsible owner I never moor where if would mean that another boat would have to scrape their way through trees etc to get passed me so it does limit where I can moor :(

Especially wide beam boats with no engine on residential moorings have no impact on the canal system.

Its a double wammy on The G&S canal, we pay river and canal licence and ‘enjoy’ a full 16 mile stretch and are now being asked to pay a premium? Really? What a debacle.

Narrow boats are for narrow lock and canals ie all crt network wide beam boats are restricted to wide waterways yet still pay full price for all without compaint new licencing rule is silly and unjust

Can't believe they can get away with it. Personally I own a sea going craft that can only use a sixteen mile stretch, yet am facing a 20% increase.

Why should widebeam be penalised. We can only use a small percentage of the system.. There was nothing wrong with the old charging system..
