CRT are a disgrace all round not just to wide beams but to all boaters in general....we rent a space on water they don’t even own...we do as brits...our canals not theirs ....even now charging us for “ projected sales of our craft “ that we own???? Getting charged for their bidding wars....could go on & on.....paying for their rebranding and dare I say mismanagement....invest in maimtainance...not...art galleries & museums...the mind boggles at our expense!!!

It will be to pay for the upcoming rebranding of the C&RT meaning new logos for vehicles & signage, new employee uniforms the list goes on. the extra revenue won't benefit the boaters as per usual with the greedy money grabbers.

On a commercial canal that's less than 1mte on most of moorings . A tall ship passed yesterday being towed by a tug . Due to a need for dredging. Need I say more..

Its the length of mooring taken up that matters. Why take width into it, or is it just to get more income! Just increase the fees if that is the case.

The farcical change in licence fees has been brought about by the narrow minded people in their narrowboats. This change will unfairly affect those at the beginning of their boating ambitions as a great number of smaller cruisers will be over the 7ft width limit.
CRT have been very coy with this consultation which at the beginning of the process was advertised as being revenue neutral. Yet from what I have seen no one will get a licence fee decrease and everyone will get an increase as the prompt payment discount has been slashed.
I will be interested to hear what CRT plan to do with all of the extra licence revenue. No doubt it will be spent on the narrow sections of the network that those who are paying more can not access!

At 57ft long and 9ft wide, we cannot access most of the network. This being said, I am not worried by this but now I do not understand why we should pay more.......oh except people on 7ft wide craft voted that we should? At 57ft I take up less tow path than the 70ft narrowboat next to me. He has a rough surface area of 490sq ft. I have 513 sq ft, hardly a massive difference that justifies I must pay more. All that happens is you pit one side against the other when we should all be content to be boat owners and be away from this kind of nonsense.

My boat is sea going but unfortunately for now uses a small stretch of crt river to access a mooring. Not only am I paying for something I hardly ever use, but am paying more for it! This is just another con, CRT I’m to big to use your undredged rivers and I’m sure there are many more like me. This change has not been thought through just pushed through to raise more money for even less service

So 90% of the licence review was decided by retired, leisure narrow boaters. Of course they were going to vote for increases that don't affect them.

Think it's ridiculous to charge w/beams more a lot of young couples are making them there first home and money is already tight. The next large sector to live on wide beams are retired and I think you charge us more than enough already.

Less navigation more money - how does that work. Also the vast majority of widebeams have home morings so have to pay for that aswell, which also reduces amount of time spent actually cruising.

We actually take up less space on our current online mooring now we have a 47ft wide beam in contrast to our previous 60ft narrow boat but will pay more and CART will also get more from the next moorer who uses the extra space.
