On January 25th, 2011 U.S. Senator Rand Paul (KY R) introduced S. 202 in the Senate. The bill would direct the Comptroller General to complete, before the end of 2012, an audit of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and of the federal reserve banks, followed by a detailed report to Congress. This bill repeals specified limitations on such an audit. On November 19, 2009 the Mississippi Republican Party adopted a resolution in support of the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. We, the undersigned, are concerned Mississippi Republican voters who urge our Senators Roger Wicker and Thad Cochran to act now to Co-sponsor and then vote for S. 202.
