Positive cheering is acceptable but not negative changing against the other team, coaches or officials.

I graduated last year and I am not really affected by this, but I do disagree with it and think that it's unfair to fans and athletes of wiaa athletics.

These new rules destroy the fun in high school sports.

Terrible rules taking the fun out of sports. Might as well just give participation trophies instead of state championships

One of the best parts of being an athlete is having home field advantage and chants and cheers are a huge part of it

These new rules are a joke. They take the fun out of it. Part of sports is learning from adversity...being booed or a loud chant is part of that process.

I couldn't imagine going through high school without those chants. I've been on both sides of the cheers and jeers. I wouldn't change a thing. It's a part of growing up! Let kids be kids!

I'm actually speechless. Beyond stupid. It's competition... If you find 99% of the chants that have banned offensive you need to quit your sport or not go to games. Basically banned from everything.
