My favorite memories from high school are playing basketball in that gym. The gym is packed and student sections are chanting away. Players showing emotion because they're doing something that they love. Who gives you the right to take that away?

I can't think of a better way to discourage teenagers from actively participating and supporting their school's sports teams than to subject them to overtinking and overreaching adults' terrible ideas to bleach their freedoms of ideas, expression, and speech. To discourage fans from engaging their opponents fans and opposing team with cheers and jeers is about as unAmerican as it gets. Why don't you just rename your organization the Whining Interscholastic Members of Public Socialists, or W.I.M.P.S. for short.

Schools are going to lose attendance due to this. I led cheers in the student section and we gained a lot of supporters because of it. This is a horrible idea

You are ruining half the fun of going to a basketball game. Nobody minds the student sections. Stop trying to control everything and let people have fun. I don't think adults should have a say in what kids cheer at their school's events. Leave us alone, and let us cheer!
