The whole goal of sports is to be able to cheer and express your support for your team. Stop this stupidity it is completely against the meaning of sports.

I am currently a college athlete and I used to participate in 2 WIAA sports. The chanting is what made high school sports high school sports. The chants pushed the opponents to focus and play harder. It improved my mental game and it is ridiculous that they are trying to change the game in this way.

Chanting for your team is not only a tradition, but something that is accepted and endorsed by not only the school but also the teams. Schools chant against each other to show their spirit.

You should be able to chant anything that is for the mere fun of the game. Taking away chants and themes is taking away the student section.

This isn't little league or childrens sports. It's high school, I think the kids, some of who are adults can handle it.

This is horrible. Students go to the games to support their friends and their school. Banning this makes them not want to go if they essentially have to sit there and be quiet. But takes the fun out of attending a high school sporting event.
