I graduated high school last year and I can easily say that football, basketball, and soccer games were a highlight to high school along with the fan section and cheering. It's beyond rediculous to take away the harmless fun that students have while supporting their team.

These rules are taking the competitive edge and fun outta the game. The chants get the whole crowd into it and make players have fun as well.

Ridiculous... Kids don't mean harm by chatting it's part of the fun. There will be winners and losers your whole life.... Scoreboards next to be taken away?

The WIAA should not be enforcing these rules. High school is supposed to be the "best times" of your lives, don't take away the excitement for the student section, parents, coaches, and players.

There is nothing wrong with what student sections do during games. The cheers you are taking away also take away the fun of the game. We do not bully players or call them out in abusive ways. The athletes are emotionally stronger than you think and none of us care if we are the subject of a cheer. The athlete should know how to handle pressure and chants. These rules would just cause student athletes to struggle in college when there are no limits to what student sections say. Hope you like making less money off of the play offs. No one is going to want to go to games anymore.

The whole basis of hone court advantage is the student section, you take that away, then where you play has no factor in who wins tue game.
