The feedback I continue to receive from students across the state highlights how deeply this decision affects our school culture. Discussions are happening behind the scenes to determine how we can best present these concerns to the association representatives.

Schools already take away enough of what we can do in school. Don't start limiting what we can do with cheering as it can even determine the mindset and attitude of the players within the game which can determine the game.
These rules take away our freedoms and the highschool experience it's all apart of competition these athletes will here the same things if they play college and beyond so why should they be babied high school isn't it suppose to get you ready for life.
Although I believe action should be taken against any student using profanity, racism, or discrimination intended to do harm I believe that part of any sports event is the crowd participation and silencing the crowd would not serve a real purpose.
I graduated high school last year and I can easily say that football, basketball, and soccer games were a highlight to high school along with the fan section and cheering. It's beyond rediculous to take away the harmless fun that students have while supporting their team.
My favorite memories from high school are playing basketball in that gym. The gym is packed and student sections are chanting away. Players showing emotion because they're doing something that they love. Who gives you the right to take that away?

Ridiculous! Nothing wrong with students having fun.....Now vulgar or any other racist remarks should be banned, but "Air Ball" and "scoreboard" just to name a few have been around for years and in no way should they be banned. Is clapping going to be next to be banned!
