I joined the WI because it WAS a space for women. I don't see women being allowed to join the Masons so why should men be allowed to join the WI.

I would join the WI if I thought it was a group for women only. It is a shame that like The Pankhurst Trust, the WI has been modified to allow men in by stealth.

Nottinghamshire Federation. Members debate and vote on all major decisions in the WI but we were kept out of the decision to allow males to join.

Now living in a city, but lived in a Wiltshire village for 25 years. The WI is an essential group for rural women to express their own issues & talents, without men butting in!

I considered joining the WI in 2022, until I saw a survey put out by WI which indicated trans identifying males would be welcome. What has happened to this amazing institute that it could abandon biological born women in this way? I won’t be joining until this policy of trans inclusion is reversed.

I understand some men need to live as women and to transition medically to do that but there have to be boundaries as there lived experience is at present different to most people brought up as women from birth.

I am a new member who will not be renewing my membership while this policy is in place. It is the Women’s Institute, not a mixed sex institute.
