I support trans women in the WI and disagree with the extremists who made this petition. The more trans women in the WI the better!

Have considered the WI later in life. Will definitely not join if it is no longer a womens only organisation

Womens institute is for women not men who identify as women. No one has ever changed sex.

I have been considering joining my WI to make friends, but definitely will not do so if it does not remain only for natal women. Literally defeats the purpose of being for women, to allow those who are born male to join.

WI should be for females only. Women have specific issues & needs that they won't discuss if males are present, however those males 'identify'

Will not join WI while it welcomes males & male bodied individuals, regardless of how they ‘identify’. Women want, deserve & need spaces free from males & male influence, and if the WI can’t see this then you really have lost sight of your origins & lost touch with women everywhere. Once we leave we won’t forget & we won’t come back.

The word woman is taken. No man can be a woman. They can only be trans identified men. I won’t be joining the WI until it reverts back to women (adult human females) only.

Women should be able to meet without men present. We should be able to talk about the things that affect us without men. Men can never truly understand what it is like for us women. The reverse is also true. Sex matters. Biology matters. We are our bodies.
