My daughter plays the piano, is an excellent knitter, cooks vegan food. Why should being trans exclude her?

Biology is real and women need and deserve single sex spaces.

I was a member of a WI, but left as a matter of principle over the trans issue. I feel that members were presented with the issue as a fait accompli without debate or discussion.

I haven't joined the WI after learning that it included transwomen. It's the WI. Women can have their own stuff (just like men, and transwomen).

Women are adult human females & the membership of women's organisations should be sex-based rather than gender based. Otherwise they are not women's organisations.

A woman is an adult human female. Women have the right to spaces for ourselves to discuss the specific issues that affect us. It is ridiculous that a male born person can decide they are a woman and access our spaces. Men have taken enough from woman and now we need to stand up and stop them taking out language and ability to define ours

I would not join the WI which is quite active in my village if men can come in too.

It’s for women and only women. It’s our space not men with a fetish

It is not an organisation for women if men are allowed to join. Trans Identifying Men are not women. Women are allowed spaces away from men.

I left my local WI when it became clear it was a very hostile environment for anyone who believes sex is real and matters in some context. I didn't even realise at the time the WI is open to males. I never would have joined in the first place had I known. I have nothing against men, trans men included, but sometimes I want to be around just women. These are the most inspiring and nourishing spaces I've been in. Men change the dynamic and we all know this. I'm so disappointed in what was a brilliant organisation for women.

Transgender activists are eroding woman's rights and this will be another avenue for them to devalue women further

Makes a total mockery of the concept of WI. They should be ashamed of their misogyny

Sex matters. It's what all women have in common.

A friend recently incited me to join. I see no point in joining a o called Women's organisation that is in fact mixed sex.
