A growing number of scientific publications have reported adverse health and biological effects of Wireless microwave radiation. WiFi technology alters neurological  functioning with possible links to brain cancers. Young children with developing brains are at greatest risk.  Scientific studies have recommended that children not use cell phones except for emergencies because cell phones expose the head to microwave radiation. A wireless computer (Wi-Fi) exposes the entire upper body and if the computer is on the child’s lap it exposes the reproductive organs as well!  This does not imply that students  should not go on the Internet. It simply means that access to the Internet needs to be through wires rather than through the air (wireless, Wi-Fi).  Naturally when a new technology becomes available and there is scientific controversy on the risks to health, especially the health of children, it is best to err on the side of caution and not throw caution to the wind.

Given the reported health effects of electromagnetic radiation we the undersigned believe it is irresponsible to introduce Wi-Fi microwave radiation into schools where our children spend hours each day.
