Highway #1 Bypass around the City of Regina: Why Tower Road?

Everyone but the Wall government knows this bypass is too close to the city..As well adjacent nighbourhood residents are raising concerns re: noise and pollution. So why are MLA Christine Tell, and city councellor Byron Burnett silent on this issue???

This project is necessary,just not where it's being built.there is a better alternative.Good government should and would listen.

Please make information available to us the 'taxpayers' regarding this project. On the face of it, the plans that have been made available do not make sense when compared to studies done Dept of Highway engineers and the very knowledgable public. Anything short of full transparency is unacceptable!

We need to find a more long-term solution that is actually functional

I can't imagine why we would be so short sighted in our building of extremely expensive infrastructure. Please Government of Saskatchewan show us that you can come up with a better plan.

stupid idea the city has. this should be moved all the way out to or past white city. Maybe the city and planners should take a trip to winnipeg and see how its done and done right. Disgusted at peoples stupidity.

Tower Road is not a logical choice for a bypass! I believe that it should join the Number 1 Highway at where the 46 joins the Number 1. This would eliminate 1 clover leaf cost and would allow for future growth of the Regina.

Completely agree that the present plan for the bypass is a complete waste of time and money. Bypass needs to start at Balgonie, and go either north or south around the city. VERY dissapointed in our provincial politicians for blundering on with the present plan!!!!

tower rd is already too busy and will soon have residential area backing on to it. just put lights at balgonie white city and pilot butte turn offs and i bet that would save lives

I think looking at the success of the perimeter road in Manitoba would make everyone see the benefits of thinking well outside city limits for diverting non-Regina and area traffic. The goal should be to take all non-essential traffic outside the cities completely! If you don't, then you will have to do more construction in the future when demand has created still more traffic inside the cities traffic patterns and roads.

It is obvious that the only thing that matters to our government is the Global Hub they are making room for business that is not happening. The safety of the people is not even considered when they are not reducing the traffic congestion from the east.
