Sex ed. It's something we're taught during school. However, we aren't taught about sex education for the LGBTQ+ community and how it differs from heterosexual sex education.
But why exactly would sex education be beneficial? It can help teens know what to do when they choose to have sex ang exactly how to be safe. Unfortunately, LGBT teens and adults are left to figure it out for themselves.
Same-sex education can also help people explore and come to terms with their sexualities! Knowing sexualty and gender terminology can possibly help them find their identity! Self-discovery is incredible important and that should be emphasised in schools. Not only could this help the LGBT community, but those outside it too! It could help others understand the differences in Sex Ed. It'll also help them accept others.
So please! Please sign my petition if you think LGBTQ+ Sex Ed should be taught in schools!

it makes no sense that schools leave out half the population. kids are gonna find out anyway so why not teach them the safe way to do things.

LGBTQ+ people exist, and the entire point of sex ed is to keep people safe. Extend that same courtesy to LGBTQ+ kids.
