We have 3 main school assemblies and 1 year assembly every week. That is 80 minutes in the mornings every week. Over the coming weeks, until we get study leave, all of that time amounts to 10 hours.
Most, if not all of us will greatly benefit from 10 hours of extra revision, especially since a significant number of us have to travel. 10 extra hours of revision in a particular subject will allow for consolidation of knowledge and will increase the likelihood of jumping up by a grade, which is far more beneficial than mindlessly sitting in assemblies.
We must act now and try to ban assemblies as soon as we can to maximise the time available to us - there's no time to waste!
