If you change the start times students will have to stay up later because of extracurriculars, so even if the start times change it won't be of much benefit.

Current time works best for high schoolers as they have time to do things after school. And changing middle school times to accommodate this change doesn't work as most of these kids have after school activities and sports which will be hard to continue

I, being a middle schooler I don't think I would use the time in the mornings and use the afternoon to do all of my homework I can have practices without the worry.

Later start means later end. Sports will have to start later and for game days we would have to leave early and miss school. Practice will go later so less time to do homework or stay up later to do it. There will not be an increase in sleep, and most likey te opposite. STOP TRYING TO FIX SOMETHING THATS NOT BROKEN!!

This will result in a lot more missed classes for any kids in athletics. Middle school kids who compete on the high school nordic team will get to practice just as it is getting dark.

I believe extra-curriculars will be scheduled for any time available prior to school so the kids will be getting up early anyway.

Start times will affect more families needing Homebase both before and after school. The schools don't have room for what they have now!!
