Terrific idea, should have been done years ago with the Primary school so close. You can wait for 25 minutes for the barriers to open, with cars refusing to turn off their engines and spewing out exhaust fumes its really unpleasant. I agree with all the good ideas and suggestions made in the discussion.

There are a lot of school children using this crossing and there is frequently a build up of pedestrians waiting for the barrier to be raised, with little space for them to keep clear of vehicles.
