There is certainly space on Network Rail's own land for a stepped footbridge. A ramped bridge that would accept cycles and wheelchairs would be even better, but instead of letting pursuit of the perfect drive out acceptance of the good please could we have channels laid on the steps (as at Barnes Railway Bridge) so that cycles can be wheeled over.

Something needs to be done soon to reduce the treacherousness of this crossing. I've heard the barriers are kept down longer than strictly necessary when the observation cameras show it will be too dangerous to raise them for a short time due to the volume of pedestrians combined with vehicles waiting to turn in or out of South Worple Way.

The crossing at White Hart Lane is surrounded by homes on both sides,whose inhabitants have to endure stationary cars belching out fumes for several minutes at a time. It is essential that clear notices at a height that can be read by drivers should be placed at regular intervals right down the road (as the waiting cars extend right down the road due to the long wait) to remind those thoughtless drivers that they are creating dangerous fumes and polluting the lives of local people. The existing small blue sign near the level crossing gates is hardly visible and mostly ignored.

A footbridge will save a lot of time getting across. Due to the frequency of the trains on this line, the barriers are closed frequently and for very long times.

I use that road a lot and often worry about the pedestrians especially the groups of children travelling to and from school at the busiest times of the day.

This crossing is so dangerous given how impatient people are - which will never change given how often the barriers are down- and how many children use it, that it is verging on the negligent for there not to be a bridge. It is long, long overdue.

I drive this way often and the current width of pavement and the volume of footfall actually makes the route dangerous. A footbridge makes total sense.

A footbridge has been needed for a very long time. The wait between openings of the barriers can be interminable. Difficult for the elderly, for mothers with children and for anyone who is pressed for time.

This is a very busy crossing. Often used by young children on their way to and from school. Limited space means that pedestrians are in close proximity to the traffic. I think a bridge is essential.

The combination of more trains and a longer safety margin have combined to make ten minute delays for pedestrians a frequent occurrence. While I have not undertaken a test, random sampling suggests the barrier is down more than up, and surely that should trigger some need to provide improvements.
