White Hart Lane Footbridge- Barnes

I guess the agency take half so call it £100 profit from two panels, one on each side of the crossing. http://p2pmoney.co.uk suggests 10% return on a trust fund, for example at Savingstream, Bondora or Rebuildingsociety. http://www.patrickschneider.com/compound_interest_calculator.php suggests 20-something years to turn £100 a week into £1 million pounds at 10% compound interest, with no admin costs and no donations. I made it 535 months by trial and error, or 22 and a bit years. Those of us who have been sold pensions know that things can go wrong, but a million pounds without raisingn ticket prices sounds quite good.

I use this crossing regularly and a cross over bridge would be wonderful. This is quite a dangerous crossing for pedestrians.

We need a new footbridge - stop people driving over the pavement on South Worple Way when the crossing is down - make Network rail & council sort out the Sewage pipe problem under the tracks. Not acceptable to have sewage trucks pumping out the pipes every day. It's unsafe & stinks.

THE CURRENT BRIDGE AND ACCESS IS DANGEROUS AND USED BY MANY CHILDREN.

A footbridge at White Hart Lane is an excellent idea and would considerably improve pedestrian safety.

Please let the footbridge be buggy friendly!

I wholeheartedly support this petition. The crossing is dangerous and a new footbridge would be excellent.

This is a residential area highly populated by families with young children who use the crossing regularly not least to get to and from Barnes Primary School. It is essential that everything possible is done to ensure their safety.

Also consider a cycle track as seen at barnes bridge. Good luck and fingers crossed, this footbridge is so overdue.

100% agree a footbridge is a must have! however! provision should not come as part of a compromise agreement to redevelop Ruffells Motors site. This area already has over development and needs local business services like the quality which Ruffells provide.

This crossing is so dangerous as so many teenagers and push chairs use it and with the long time down everyone's tempted to skip,over the crossing. It is an accident waiting to happen.

The footbridge at Manor Road has made a big difference - this improvement could do the same.

I have thought for some time that this is a really dangerous crossing and there should be a pedestrian bridge like that at Manor Rd.

I wonder what it costs if there is a fatal accident there?

A bridge would ensure pedestrians are safe while crossing - its a no brainer!

This is an excellent idea from a health & safety, as well as a convenience standpoint. It is currently extremely dangerous for pedestrians using the crossing due to the narrowness of the area one walks across. It's also normally ridiculously time consuming whilst waiting for the barriers to go up. One can often be standing in the cold & rain waiting for as long as 15 minutes to cross. Other cities in the developed world have the technology to have the barriers automatically go down 45 seconds before a train crosses - quite why we don't have such technology here in London is a mystery.

I completely agree with Chris Wheeldon's comment. Let's have a Pedestrian Bridge!
