Its just a matter of time before the lack of a footbridge results in a serious accident.
I'm also fed up with waiting at the crossing while no trains are passing - even opening the gates for 30 seconds would be more than enough for pedestrians and cyclists

I support the principle of a footbridge. Wheeled traffic has a choice to divert but that is not realistic for pedestrians.

A footbridge would be an enormous asset to the White Hart Crossing. As both driver and pedestrian using the crossing several times daily, it is always quite treacherous, and dangerous to pedestrians particularly when there are many mothers & children waiting and bikers, and drivers wanting to turn right towards Sheen. It must be built!

The crossing is far too dangerous with cars, bicycles, motorbikes and people all trying to get across before the gates close for another train.

I frequently use this level crossing on my way to or from the vet or friends in Barnes. It is always busy with queues of people and cars waiting to use the crossing. If the provision of a bridge could be matched with improvement to the time-tabling, as suggested by Chris Wheeldon, so as to enable the barrier to be raised more frequently and/or for longer times, that would be most welcome.

Narrow walkways are a problem. And length of time barriers have to be closed.
