Very much in support of this footbridge. Dangerous without especially so many children use this route.

The crossing is dangerous, I have had many near misses over the years. We have all wasted hours of our lives waiting for the barriers to lift - they are down for a ridiculously long time between trains. It's very tempting to run across, which I have seen people do! There is plenty of land surrounding the crossing, there is absolutely no excuse not to build a bridge. Thank you.

Great idea for all pedestrians and cyclists who have to wait there for ages every day. Make it a toll bridge if you need to guarantee to make it pay: I'd buy shares!

At peak times this crossing is very dangerous. Cars often mount the pavement . I'm surprised that no one had been injured by wreck less driving. A footbridge will be much safer for all users.

It would be good to have a pedestrian footbridge at this crossing to alleviate the many hours a year that local residents spend waiting for the barriers to lift. Often standing in the rain and cold. I once spent half an hour standing in the snow waiting for the barriers to lift (there was some problem obviously) and could hardly move from the cold when they DID go up.

One day someone's going to get killed at this junction and with the number of schools in the area it could be a child. A walkway has to be built at this crossing as a matter of urgency.

I have a young child who dashes over when the siren is sounded often tripping in a panic. Also cars charge across dangerously at this point too. Please allow this bridge for pedestrians. It is vital.

We use this crossing at least four times a day and have witness countless near misses. PLEASE do something before there is another fatality.

The level crossing is the single biggest negative to living in WHL. If Network Rail are unable to develop technology that allows the crossing to be lowered when a train is actually due rather than several minutes in advance then a bridge should be built. Any argument that there is insufficient space is palpable nonsense.

Having witnessed near daily close misses with traffic on this busy, narrow crossing, I feel a footbridge is a vital part of the solution to protect our children. I urge NR to take action on this issue ASAP if it intends to keep within its zero fatality goal as set by the recent parliamentary review on crossing safety.

As a relatively new resident of Barnes and regular user of the crossing I've been amazed no footbridge exists given the obvious dangers, especially to children. Why Manor Road and not WHL? How was that footbridge funded?
