We need a costco, sick of driving to Kona, no longer saving by doing it. With a Cosco in Hilo, it would lighten up traffic in Kona to !

If Costco came to East Hawaii, I would get a membership immediately and shop there very frequently.

Please open a store. My wife is a Home Depot manager and the amount of retail sales here is astronomical. Home Depot does enough sales to support two store just in Hilo. It's a win, win !!! Thanks shawn

Hilo Deserves a Costco, / Sams Club, why should Kona have to Tolerate all the illegal Cars/Drivers without Insurance , The more Miles Traveled ,The more Risk of Accidents . And God Forbid HPD Enforce The Illegal/Unregistered NO Insurance , or Even the Recent New People Who Refuse to Register Their Vehicles in Hawaii PROBLEMS

We have to travel over 299 miles round trip twice a month to shop at Costco presently. This wastes gas, is bad for the environment and takes a whole day out of our lives for just this shopping. Build a store in Puna/Hilo!

Give us what we need and deserve. More than half of your Kona customers are from the east side.

Its the local stores greed, and if it did come there goods would have to go down. It also would be a GOLD MINE for Costco just like Kona store.

Hilo does NOT need a Costco,we already have one on the island. Go to Kona if you want cheap second quality junk. We do not need to build ANY MORE stores and waste any more space on Hilo side. There are already too many people and too many crappy overpriced stores with terrible customer service. GET OVER IT, THIS IS HAWAII!!!!! Stop trying to make it California.

With our current population and growth rate, the eastside of the Big Island would certainly sustain a Costco store. A store located in the Keaau area (Shipman?) would draw people from the Hilo, Volcano and Puna areas. Perfect!!!

Not only does Costco have great prices in the food departments they will really be an asset to senior citizens in the pharmacy department ,their prices are excellent in car tires and bed prices are hard to beat even at the "discount" stores here in Hilo. We welcome Costco immediately!!!!

The new Safeway that is slated to open in pahoa would have been far better suited to the location if that was the new Costco location. Safeway are rip off artists and cannot even compete with Costco's prices!!!!! Looks like the east side has to pay way more for less because of politics.

I have heard that KTA is the reason we don't have a Costco they have major political pull in Hilo and definitely do not welcome the healthy competition.
