A COSTCO is so needed on the east side of the island. It would be supported. It can be supported. We all hate the drive to Kona.

Costco, you are very much wanted and needed here on the East side of the island, Hilo. I've been shopping for years at various Costco locations and admit that I would shop more and more frequent if it were closer to me, in Hilo. The Kona drive for me and my family is getting to be a bit much. Please come, a lot of us support you that are not on this petition. Aloha

Costco got it wrong when they opted to open their first Big Island store in Kona, rather than Hilo! The fastest growing communities in the State are on the Eastside of the Big Island. Whoever Costco relied on to do their new location search, obviously was basing their site selection on weather rather than potential sales volume! I always said that Sams Club should fill that "Big Box" need, since Costco dropped the ball on their store location.

A Costco on this side would be welcomed by everyone I know. I will spread the word, but it seems to me we already went through this a couple of years ago, to no avail. Costco in Kona doesn't want to share all the business they would lose from the Hilo residents. This is just what I've heard discussed over the past few years. Doesn't hurt to try again, more need then ever.

I'd be so happy not to drive 1.5 hours to Kona just for Costco. The crowd from Waimea to Volcanoes would definitely support it!

Long overdue! The lines in grocery stores are long and it's difficult for local restaurants to source affordable, quality ingredients. If Costco won't, perhaps Sam's club would be interested at grabbing this market share first.

PLEASE!!! Why do we have to be gouged by local supermarkets when folks in Kona have Costco? There will always be business for the other markets.

I know Hilo will benefit from having a Costco. Pharmacy benefits for our seniors is a start. I dont even renew my membership because Kona is just to far to drive for groceries, if Costco was in Hilo I would keep my membership current and shop there more often.
