Petition For A Costco on The East Side Of Big Island

The lines and crowds are becoming unbearable at the Kona Costco. Costco needs to consider that not only do locals shop there, but our island swells with tourist shoppers.

East side of the Island of Hawaii has much denser population than West side. Costco is a necessity!

East side has higher population so Costco should open a wherehouse. Plus Hilo has a large port that can have merchandise shipped directly to Hilo...

A lot of people on the East side of the Big Island of Hawaii were previous Costco members and then quit due to the long drive to the Kona warehouse, these folks are not represented in the membership of the Kona warehouse currently, but they would quickly become Costco members along with many others on the East side if a warehouse were built on the East side. The Kona warehouse parking lot is almost always full, so customers are being lost that way also. I think the best place to put a new warehouse on the East side would be the W.H. Shipman Business Park, I think there is a lot of space there and the location is more central to the largest communities on the East side, much better compared to a Hilo location, yet also close to Hilo. Please check it out, I think it would be more profitable than the Kona Warehouse.

Please add a costco to Hilo, Hawaii to eliminate the need for locals to drive to Kona which helps with the traffic on our roads. Recently there has been casualties on a highway frequently used and one of the drivers was on his way from Hilo to Kona for a costco run.

Puna Hilo we are desperately waiting for for Costco Personally this would be my only shopping choice ( besides Home Depot )

going to costco from Hilo to Kona and back took us 6.5 hrs. It's an all day affair. thats why go twice a year. Living on Oahu we use to go once every two weeks. We definitely need a Costco in Hilo.

Kona is too far to drive from Hilo, I think we have sufficient population in Hilo and Puna to support our own store. Besides, our main harbor is in Hilo

We bought a house in Hawaii but it's inconvenient to drive to Costco in Kona. Been a Costco member since 1991. Costco is our store for almost every thing we need.

Both Hilo and Costco would benefit greatly by having a Costco on this side of the island. The current five hour round trip, plus the car gas, prevents may of us from shopping at Costco as frequently as we need to. Please consider opening a Costco on this side of the island. I truly believe it would be an extremely profitable decision for both Costco and our residents.

We’ve been outside Walmart for nearly half an hour, enough is enough! we should be able to have a Costco in Hilo!

I have been a member for 5 years. I would like to see a Costco on the Hilo side of the Big Island. The 90 mile drive and the cost of gas make it impractical to drive to Kona to shop there.
