Just bc the title is called hudson and rex, doesn't mean it can ever be anywhere near just the same with some other "Hudson" in order to fit the description thinking that concept of the show will 'still work'. Its down right preposterous and I find it offensive. Without Charlie/John Reardon I would absolutely be surprised if this show can/will survive to see a season 9 after this. My expectations are extremely low that season 8 will be able to deliver enough due credit/justice to the ongoing legacy this show has previously established. As much as I've truly cherished and enjoyed witnessing the skill set, training, compassion, etc and above all else, the intricate dynamics regarding all the various relationships between the characters ever since the beginning of season 1, bc as a diehard fan of hudson and rex, in my heart I just know it can and never will be the same again and probably can never measure up either. It makes me equally sad/disappointed to have to both say and feel this way.

I’ve only been watching Hudson & Rex. I can’t imagine seeing the company trying to replace Hudson with someone else.
