This just don't make no sense for a bill to go from $300 and something to $500 something. Yes it's wrong and something need to be did about it..

I live in 800sq ft apartment my WG&L bill is 478.00 something needs to be done. My bill in my old home 1600sq ft was never over 200 different company. Seems that they base it on neighborhood.

One thing I know for sure is that in April of each year Mary Bracken stated to me that our rates are readjusted so that's why our bills are much higher in summer months. Also each day starting at 3pm the daily voltages are increased and yes it makes a difference bc most Ppl are coming home from work and preparing for children to come home from school so they are cooking cleaning, washing and ect. Children are getting home from school use the normal power but if the voltage is increased then it cause the bill to become higher. I pay WG&L between $1600-$1900 per month for my personal home and business and have went through all the necessary steps to understand the billing process. I've taken the information I listed above and used it to decrease my utility to the amounts I listed above. My bills used to 2k plus a month but I know for a fact that WG&L has a hidden agenda but we as citizens will never get to the bottom of it on our own. It's going to take the work of the entire city and a higher level of government!s

My bill was 200.00 it jump from may to September 300.00 extra hundred total 500.00 the last 4 month this is ridiculous they are ripping people off

Absolutely obsured how much they charge. My family is gone all day and barely have lights on and bill still is $300 +.

Purchasing unnecessary buildings. Charging ridiculous rates. Thats why Downtown buildings are empty now. Every store that was there have moved out towards The Mall, at the Mall, or elsewhere. Can somebody say GEORGIA POWERS

Water Gas and Light is ridiculous.. The price of these bills do not make sense... Its ashamed when your light bill is more than you're rent $600 a month..

They are outrageous with the amount they charge I am barely even at my house and it is 300 a month for one person their is no washer and dryer plugged up just a fridge and hot water heater I keep my air on 80 and everything unplugged and my bill keeps getting higher

It is ridiculous how WG&L is getting over on the people of Albany. Utility bill range at 2 something but once they add in their other hidden fees the bill total is then 5 and 6 hundred dollars. I thought slavery was over so why in the hell do I feel like me and my family is being raped..

The rates are extremely too high because I'm paying almost the same for rent. My rent is about 500 and my wg&l is 450. And I'm working a minimum wage job it's hard for me to pay the other bills so I had to get some things turned off because wg&l is taking all my money

Yes I have been complaining for years that water gas and lights charge late fees to our bills and other unnecessary charges I think we should be able to file a civil suit against water gad and lights and the city of Albany

My light bill is almost my rent. I recieve SSI and that means I'm on a fixed income I cannot pay this high company. And when u go ask them for help or an extension they have so many provisions to keep you from being able to get it. Water gas and light us a rip off. Us poor black ppl in Albany Ga will continue to b below the poverty line because if these high as light bills.

I agree with the petition. I think we should have the option of choosing the light company that we want to pay our money to for electricity.

There are only 4 ppl living in my home 2 adults and 2 toddlers we are hardly ever home so I don't understand why my bills for the past 3 months have been between $275-$300 this is really ridiculous.
