A call for change in the mental health service in wexford town needs to change,there should be a service there 24 hour,not just a few hour when the rises of the mental health in this beautiful little town is getting out of hand, the suicide rates at an all time high because of lack of service for the people that need when there at there lowest and have no where to turn to,it's not excepable and needs to be changed..

9am-5pm monday to friday OK, but not good enough.
Mental health is trauma to the body just like a broken arm etc, It's needs 24/7/365 emergency help.

The access to adequate mental health care has always been a priority for Sinn Féin Co. Wexford, the government need to act accordingly and take note of all the submissions that Sinn Féin throughout the 32 counties have made on mental health, this is a service that is denied to the people of Co. Wexford. 44 beds in an acute unit in Waterford to service CHO 5 is not adequate or acceptable, people have died due to the lack of services that has been directly impacted by government decision making.

Mental Health is just as serious as any other condition and its too often pushed to the wayside. Mental Health needs the same level of concern that any other serious illness requires. Mental Health is costing just as many lives as anything else, and the county severally lacks any reliable resource to help those who desperately need treatment.
